(for more detailed documentation click here)

The DiscoveryGate Web Service provides a secure foundation for programmatically accessing Symyx and third party scientific content. The DiscoveryGate Web Service is accessed directly by customer-built applications or may be aggregated with other commercial or in-house web services by customer-built applications. This enables unlimited, real-time distribution of DiscoveryGate content to internal applications and databases that integrate with existing laboratory workflows.

Customers may license access to the entire service or may choose any combination of the individual underlying databases. The DiscoveryGate Web Service organizes content according to the categories of information covered. All records are fully cross-correlated and a single search may be issued that retrieves information from any or all of the various categories.
